This Wednesday 19 September 2007, at the Nightlight in Chapel Hill NC.

(Yes, I have been reminded that Wednesday is Talk Like a Pirate Day. Arrr.
http://www.talklikeapirate.com/ )

venue: http://www.nightlightclub.com/
Cost:$5
Time: 9:30pm

* Subscape Annex (Raleigh) http://www.subscapeannex.com/
* Robot Soup (Asheville) http://myspace.com/robotsoupsound
* TAAZ (Asheville) http://www.myspace.com/bigtedbigted
* USA Baby

The section below is quoted from the Nightlight schedule on
http://www.nightlightclub.com/schedule.html :

"Wed 9/19 - Subscape Annex / Robot Soup / Taaz / USA Baby - 9:30 PM $5 -
More
of that softening of your gums - don't brush too hard. No really, this
show
will be like a trip to a surreal dentist office, with space-age drones,
ridiculous ghetto-tech lo-fi emanations, and sickly sweet toothpaste
electronica splattering the walls of your mental prison.

Scoop: - Taaz is Ted Robinson of Dig Shovel Dig doing his stupid-band name
not-so-stupid musical idea thing - prepared mini-harp (weird, eh?)

Plus Robot Soup, one of the Searchwielder finds.

Of course, Subscape Annex is a local enigma - Steve Burnett (the guy in
black
with black hair, black hat, black clothes, black jacket - you may have
seen him
at Nightlight lurking around at the weirdest shows) and he will be doing
some
instrumental industrial/ambient drone.

USA Baby is the totally killer punk rock brother/sister duo of Matt and
Laura
Parsons. They do some seriously black and nihilistic "my teacher sucks"
kind of
music that arouses the same kind of energy and verve that The Misfits
inspires
upon first listen."
