rc50 fade question

Greetings. Picked up an RC50 and was glad to see that: 1) you can
unsync everything and run 3 simultaneous loops ("phrases"- each w/
infinite layers) all of different lengths and 2) there was a fade out
option (also fade in) that could be set up independantly per phrase.
Was wondering how to get into and tweak the time of the fade
function. The manual gives a factory default setting of 50 within a
possible range of 0 - 100. The 50 setting works well (not like the
"instantaneous" fade of the 20xl) but would like to increase the
setting. Also, hows do I tell what version of the OS is on the
machine - not sure if I need the upgrade? Thanks. - Paul
PS: a couple recent imrprov. snippetts (pre - rc50) at << http://
web.mac.com/pmimlitsch/Site/Home.html >>. "KG2" recorded live on the
streets of Evergreen and "Settling In", a duo with flute player Meg
York, recorded at a house concert.
