OT: Keeping the off-topic off the digest

Posts marked OT: automatically get precluded from the digest... And posts "about" the list (including off/on-topic debate) get marked META: and also don't make it to the digest... Digesters happier, auto-sorters happier. One can dream, can't one?

gmailer not a digest subscriber;-)

Yeah, I can see why many things would be problematic in a digest version. What I don't quite get is why anyone would prefer the digest version, when, with the modern auto-sorting capabilities of email clients, it's so much easier to scan and manage everything quickly in non-digest format.
