OT major metronome

Partly to ease the persistent tension of work, and pending layoffs, we had
a
inter-dept softball game this afternoon. But what I found really
interesting was a high school marching band practice the nearby municipal
stadium. The band leader used the stadium PA to instruct the students, and
they had a super metronome that had a tone similar to a microwave makes
when
its done, but loud enough to be heard for 1/4mile. Wild! I'm sure there
are latency issues to deal with , but that didn't seem to bother their
practice.

I designated this OT, but perhaps the metronome could be considered to be
looping the electronic tone ;-) I'm sure those kids will hear it in
their
heads for days!
