RE: PDIF I/O Question. More laptop stuff.

I have an Eclipse that I use on a send/return from FF800. Surprisingly,
many of the complex programs on the Eclipse need to run at much lower
sampling rates than 96Khz. In these cases, it won't synch with the FF800
(set as the master @96khz). So I've been using audio i/o instead of
SPDIF.

Does anyone use there PDIF I/O from hardware into there Firewire interface?
Is there an increase in performance? Does it effect tone? Do you use
standard RCA cables?
Thanks
