RE: New "Virtual Repeater" Software Announced...



 
If you read the press release there is a *ton* of stuff in there
beyond a Repeater emulation.  A lot of the features seem oriented
toward the "DJ" looper: static loop browsing, VST hosting, 
keyboard & mouse editing, flashy eye candy.  It looks sort of
like a simplified Ableton Live with first loop capability.

This is smart because they'll be able to sell this to people that
don't consider themselves "loopers" in the sense that we usually talk
about, as well as satisfying improvisational loopers of the Repeater
school.  They can also price this at the level of other VST hosts rather
than just a plugin.  

I'll take January of 2008 for $400 Alex.
