Can't answer your question since it depends what you want and these  
things change over time and often from project to project.

But it might be worth checking out Derek Bailey interviews for a  
perspective on being inaccessible. He talks about giving concerts  
where only 3 people show up as audience and 2 of them leave before  
half time.
