The V1.01 update allows you to switch between "Rhythm priority" and
"Sound priority".

To choose the priority, hold down the switches as you switch on the power:

Rhythm Priority: [LOOP SYNC]+[PHRASE 1]
Sound Priority: [LOOP SYNC]+[PHRASE 2]

Note: the setting is saved in memory, so you don't need to carry out
this procedure every time you start up.

Rhythm Priority has a delay as it syncs up the loops starting
position. In essence, the loop starts on the correct beat however is
muted for a moment before it kicks in. This is the "gap" to which
people refer.

Sound Priority starts the playback from the beginning of the recorded
data. Note, however, that for the rhythm guide, recorded phrases, or
recordings synchronized with MIDI, playback starts with "Rhythm
priority".
