[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] Re: Electric Guitar - fix for static noise?
i have had several strats( including a 1958, 1965, 1964 and 1963) they have all done this under certain circumstances. it seems to happen mostly when the humidity is low and the static factor is high (i.e. winter in Ohio..) i had good luck by using some hand lotion on my right hand to get more moisture so that (for whatever reason) when i touched the pickguard, there was less static. i always meant to try the copper shielding thing but never did. try increasing (whenever possible) the humidity in the room where you are recording. that also helped. bon chance. monk
