EDP woes II

Hi All!

The output knob on my Gibson EDP is crackling and cutting in and out.  When
I push
in on the knob it quiets down but otherwise it's nasty.  Is seems like it's
much easier to turn than the other knobs as well.  I tried some contact
cleaning stuff I bought at Radio Shack and not really helping.

Thoughts?
