That would be much appreciated.  What sort of cable do I need to 
connect it to the EDP?

(I really appreciate all the help I'm getting here.  I am pretty 
seriously non-techie, and haven't swung a soldering iron much since I 
was a kid.  And I have done zero MIDI work.  Guess it's time for me 
to get into it.)
