Re: Some ideas needed

I'm just wary of any compression or file changing. I know with Pro Tools friends who are WAY INTO IT don't even recommend copying files from one drive to another because data can and has gotten lost. So that was why I didn't think zipping the files was good. But with mp3s, who would notice?

Just a simple Winzip or Winrar compression? Any experiences with the quality of such?
Winzip is lossless data compression - what goes in, comes out.

Since mp3 and the like do more than just data compression, you will typically not see a further reduction in filesize using Winzip, but you do get the advantage of bundling many small mp3 files.

everybody has ZIP, and it's built into Windows XP now.
