According to the mentioned OS X version of your iMac I guess the Mac 
Mini is at least 4 times as fast. The iMac was geared as an office 
machine as well. Any Mac can do music pretty well, no Mac is geared at 
music (as opposed to business)...
Slow machines are fine for the office, for music take the faster one...
