I bought RAX to use with SooperLooer. To answer your question, I  
think it is "good". That means it does what you suspect a MIDI simple  
mixer and AU host to do. I can't say that it's better than AU Lab,  
though. AU Lab is free and comes on the Tiger DVD, look under  
"Developer".
