Just read your mail. If you have 1-2 full second gaps, you _definitely_ 
have wrong timing settings on your RC-50 - _not_ a "latency" issue.

Try the following:
- Turn down Ryhthm Guide knob all the way down to OFF
- Turn off Loop Sync
- Turn off Tempo Sync for each of the three Phrases
