Yes, it  can. There is a function letting you assign a MIDI CC so it will both lower the tempo and the pitch at the same time. This sounds exactly as slowing down a vinyl record or big reel tape machine. When I had a repeater, some years ago, I liked to play that function from a MIDI Expression foot pedal. If you play any kind or "non-abstract" music you may also want to combine that function with a MIDI push-button that normalizes the setting. Otherwise it's rather difficult to get it back in sync ;-))   Indeed a powerful function!
