[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] Re: video looping
I saw a performance last summer at a local freaky music festival of Bob Hebert, animator, and Bob Ostertag, music. Bob would sample stuff live sounds (kids toys mostly) and mangle them while Bob would did a live animation - he's draw one cell or put on object on his table, take a picture of it, then add to it, etc. and it kept looping; whenever he added a new cell, it would insert itself at the end of the loop. It was something that they had worked out before hand but there was still a lot of room to improvise. The overall theme is the 9/11 with policital overtones. They recorded it - "Betweeen Science and Garbage" and was released on John Zorn's Tzadik label. http://www.dvdbeaver.com/film/DVDReviews19/Between_Science_and_Garbage_DVD_Review.htm Great performance; never seen the dvd, though. ted harms.
