Kris, if you like Bill Frisell, you should check out the video, "The 
Guitar Artistry of Bill Frisell".  Cheapest price I've seen is at:

In it , he explains a lot about his approach to the guitar as well as 
how he composed "Strange Meeting".  He also bravely tries to play the 
bass and guitar parts of "Strange Meeting" both at once!  There's 
also a nice version of "Strange Meeting" played by the classic Bill 
Frisell trio with Kermit Driscoll and Joey Baron.  It's one of those 
quietly inspirational videos that I watch a couple of times a year.
