michael.....not true at all!.....i maintain, "the more loopers (machines 
that 
is) the better".....i've spent days on end just using the 5 sec. looper in 
my 
QUADRAVERB 2.....and i use a boomerang and haven't been asked to leave 
many 
looper get-togethers, at least not for being a rang user!.....:)m
