RE: Behringer FCB 1010 or other foot controllers?

Title: RE: Behringer FCB 1010 or other foot controllers?

>>I've been on the lookout for a replacement ever since and I've decided to enforce a 'no behringer' policy in my studio.

Also, it's a complete bear to program.<<

I just couldn't get my head round the "philosophy" of the fcb1010, & mine lies idle in the same corner of my studio where it landed two years ago. that, coupled with the /general/ feeling about behringer's reliability (I've had one of their mixers catch fire on me, but it was reparable).... well, but what alternatives are there, with the right mixture of pedals & switches?

I've mentioned this before, but the peavey pc1600 is easier to programme & (the stock version) has interfacing for one pedal & two footswitches.

probably, if it could be mounted on a tripod so as to put the other buttons & faders at a suitable height for a guitarist, this would be adequate. I intend to modify mine, though, so that more of the buttons & faders are extended to foot-friendly interfaces (standard expression pedals & footswitches).

it, too, is built like a tank. I've been using it for ten years & it's crashed once, about nine years ago. the guy at peavey was an absolute saint. matt, I think his name was. got me right out of trouble & saved my patches.

duncan.
