Hands-on lecture/workshop on microtonal instruments

In conjunction with her performance titled "New Tunings for New Instruments" on the Musical Explorations series at REDCAT, composer/instrument builder Gayle Young will demonstrate her instruments and discuss her work in an informal gathering sponsored by acf/LA.

> Young designs and builds her own instruments. These include the
> Columbine, a metallophone using 23 pitches per octave in an expanded

> tuned to any set of pitches.
