I don't know. It would appear that the designers of the lower end boxes 
don't
loop themselves, they just tack on some feature to get past a marketing 
"check
off" requirement.

For me, the perfect mini-looper would be like a DL4 where the expression 
pedal
controlled feedback (in loop mode) and it had an undo button somewhere. 
Maybe a
few more seconds of loop time.
