Why can't self-esteem just be made to happen?  Is there any concern for 
loss
of inherent/intrinsic identity?  Any at all?

I was probably dropped on my head once too often as a child.
Otherwise, beyond the fact that these are my genuine feelings,
I don't know why.

Maybe in the next one life I'll have better self-esteem too . . . !?!
