the input of the delay is fed from a mixer. the mixer mixes two sources: 
your 
delay output, and the "feed" to the delay.

your looper output would either be the output of the mixer, or the output 
of 
the delay, depending on the application.

i used to do it with my RDS8000, because the delay feedback wasn't high 
enough 
for looping.
