Recently, a guy at work asked me if I knew anything about computer programs
for video - he wanted to start doing his own music videos.  I said great,
what kind of music do you do?  He said, I haven't done any yet, can you
recommend software to do music with?  So he's not a musician and not
familiar with video, but he wants to pick up some software to make him an
artist, I guess.  Am I just old fashioned?  I love technology, but I hope
art has to come from something else; these goodies can only be a tool.

Speaking of goodies, has anyone here seen the new Apple flat screen?
Ohmygod, everyone at my shop got a super hard on for it.  Unbelievable.
The only non (specifically) music piece of gear to give me serious G.A.S.
in ages....
